Would You Rather Be Born Rich Or Intelligent?

As individuals who have best wishes for themselves, we all love to be born with riches and intelligence, but when you are asked to choose between the two, which of the two will you pick? Although it is good to be born with riches, but the fact remains that intelligence is needed to be able to maintain such status. The major problem that people face in life may not be how to become rich, but how to maintain that status and keep being rich. Individuals who were not born with riches, but have intelligence will always find opportunities that will help them to become rich while they progress in life.

An American mega rich Investor whose name is Warren Buffet once said that it may take twenty years to build a reputation, and only five minutes may be needed to ruin it. If you take a closer look at this statement, you will discover the real truth behind it. From your own life experience, you should have discovered that some people who were born rich end up being poor. The reason for this is not that they did not have enough money, but the real intelligence needed to maintain their status of being rich is lacking in them. From my experience, I have come to discover that those people, who were not born with riches, but have intelligence design means of finding their feet in the society with small opportunities that come their way while they grow up, and as a result of this intelligence which they possess, they usually outclass those that were born with riches in their life achievements.

Some people who will prefer being born with riches do not really understand how adversity could be a goad to success. The fact that people are not born rich does not mean that they will not later acquire riches, but if you are not born intelligent, it cannot be acquired. Riches may come and go, but intelligence remains. I even consider not born with riches advantageous, because it gives people the ability to test their capacity of acquiring that status which eluded them at birth. In a bid to find the best ways to tackle the challenge of not being born rich, people end up inventing new ideas that will not only help them to acquire such status, but the society at large benefit from their own inventions which ordinarily could not have been, if those people were born rich.

Although some people may say that if a man is born rich, he will make use of the best opportunities that others may not have access to, but the fact remains that those things may not last without the intelligence needed to keep them. Since those who were born intelligent could later acquire riches with their intelligence, it is better to choose being born intelligent over being born rich, because he who laughs last laughs best.
