Abortion: Should people have the right to abort an unborn child?

In life, some people seem to long for what other people already have, while those who are in possession of what other people seek, care less about such possessions. This is the case of a barren woman who will do everything possible in order to have a child, and a careless one who thinks that aborting an unborn child will ease her problems in her current situation. It is really sad and inconsiderate for some people to think they should have the right to abort an unborn child. I continue to wonder how God's feeling would be when he sees the people he gave life in abundance trying to abort a child they should be striving to keep alive. Whatever reason some people may give in order to have the right to indulge in this annoying act of aborting an unborn child, it is simply not justified.

Some individuals who actually decide to have their baby or babies aborted sometimes give a flimsy excuse of not being ready to have a child at the time of the baby' s arrival. People who give this kind of excuse should note that when they were actually having sex unprotected, they were laying the foundation of the building they later desire to pull down. Some other people would say they made a mistake in the process of having sex, and wish to correct the mistake by means of abortion. People who are directly or indirectly involved in using the word "mistake" to justify their actions should find a better way or better ways to correct such mistakes rather than abortion.

The decision to abort or not to abort becomes critical when a girl has been raped, and this turns out to make the girl pregnant. When this happens, the victim's desire may be to make sure that the child from the resultant rape is aborted. It is really painful to be a victim of rape or when somebody you love falls a victim, but as painful as it might be, the decision to go on with abortion is certainly not the best.

The fact remains that aborting an unborn child is not much different from killing an innocent person. An innocent man do not desire to be killed and so is unborn child. If people should be given the right to abort an unborn child, I wonder why we still prosecute people who kill innocent people in our law-courts. This is because the two acts are equal in degree.

I strongly oppose that people should have the right to abort an unborn child because many important persons in our society will not be in existence today if their parents decided to abort them before their births. People who desire to have this right which i consider unjust are inconsiderate and mean.
